Terms of Service

RankPilot is operated by [company name not set] ("we", "us"). These terms apply when you create an account or use the service. Effective 2026-10-29.

If you use RankPilot for a company or a client, you confirm you may accept these terms for them.

1. What the service does

RankPilot reads the product and page data of online stores you connect, suggests SEO text (page titles, descriptions and content) written with artificial intelligence, and, only when you approve it, publishes that text to your store. It can also analyse a public website you enter, and show search data from your Google Search Console.

2. Your account

• You must give correct details and keep your password and two-factor codes secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Tell us quickly at [support email not set] if you think someone else has access.
• You may invite colleagues; you are responsible for them. Their rights follow the role you give them.

3. Your stores, your content, your approval

• You may only connect stores and sites you own or are authorised to manage, and you confirm you may let us read and change the text we ask you to approve.
• Nothing is written to your store unless you switch writing on in the connector and approve each suggestion. Every published change can be undone from the History tab. Text edited in your store afterwards is not overwritten by an undo.
• AI-written text can be wrong or unsuitable. You must review what you approve. We run automatic checks (length, invented numbers, duplicates, banned words) but they do not guarantee that text is accurate, original, lawful or fit for your shoppers. You are responsible for content published on your store.
• We do not promise any ranking, traffic or sales result. Search engines decide rankings.
• You keep ownership of your data and of the text published to your store. You give us the right to process it to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy). We make no claim to your content.

4. Acceptable use

Do not: connect stores you are not authorised to manage; use the service to publish false, misleading, infringing or unlawful content; attempt to break, probe or overload the service or other customers' data; bypass limits or security; resell access without our written agreement; or use the website analyser to scan sites to attack them. We may limit or suspend use that harms the service or others.

5. Your Claude (Anthropic) key and AI usage

Depending on your plan, AI features use your own Anthropic API key (you pay Anthropic directly for usage) or our key within a monthly allowance. Your key is stored encrypted and used only for your jobs. We never switch you to our key without telling you; if your key is rejected or out of credit, AI work for your account stops until you fix it.

6. Plans, payment and cancellation

• Plans, limits and prices are shown on the pricing page. Taxes such as GST are added where required.
• Paid periods are paid in advance by the methods we offer. Renewing the same plan before it ends extends the period.
• You can stop using the service at any time. Access continues until the end of the period you paid for, then the account becomes read-only. Fees already paid are not refunded unless the law requires it or we agree otherwise in writing.
• If a payment is overdue we allow a grace period; after it, automatic work pauses. We do not delete your data for non-payment, and approved changes already published stay in your store.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you paid for. We may update these terms; the effective date above shows the version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.

8. Our responsibility

The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or search ranking changes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where reasonable. When an account ends, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of [city not set], India, unless the law of your country gives you the right to use your local courts. Please contact us first at [support email not set]; most problems can be solved quickly.
